| 内容記述 | This article reports the linguistic and social accommodation of a three-year-old American child，whose mother tongue is American English，in a Japanese kindergarten．The data come from the weekly observation and video-tapes of the child's behaviors and utterances in relation to her teacher and classmates． The present paper reports the second portion of our ongoing research which offcially started in April，1995，from the 13th（Sept．18th，1995）to the 22nd（Nov．27th，1995）observation．Though the child spent about two months of summer in the United States where she mainly spoke English，we noted how，once put in the kindergarten context，smoothly she readjusted to the routines of the Japanese school．We noted how she code-switched between English and Japanese depending on who she talked to，and that her dependence on the English speaking classmate seemed to be greatly declining during the period． |
